H&R REISING MODEL 50 45 ACP

A closed-bolt blowback-operated submachine gun, the H&R Reising Model 50 saw action with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific as a substitute for the M1 Thompson, though they found their best success as defensive weapons for war-essential industries and as patrol carbines for American police forces.

Blade front and elevation adjustable peep rear sights, with a flash hider/muzzle break, cooling fins on the barrel, three-line New Haven address near the ejector port, and three-position selector/safety on the right side. Smooth pistol grip stock with a cocking lever on the underside, a tan canvas sling, and a lightly ribbed buttplate. Included with the lot are five extra magazines and a set of extra springs. Excellent plus, with 98% plus bright original blue finish, showing some rust on the buttplate concentrated at the heel, along with some mild edge wear and handling marks overall.

The otherwise excellent stock shows some splitting and staining at the buttplate, along with some scattered light dents and handling marks. The extra magazines are unmarked, and show what appears to be braised repairs the rear just below the feed lips. Mechanically excellent.
