The PRI Mark 12 Mod 0 is based off the Mk 12 MOD 0 SPR used by U.S. Special Operation Forces until 2017. Designed to be a designated light marksman rifle, the Mk 12 allowed for greater range compared to a standard M4 Carbine.
The  PRI Mark 12 Mod 0 Gen 2  upper features a 5.56x45mm chamber, 18″ Douglas 416 stainless steel barrel, 1:7 twist rate, forged upper receiver, PRI Gen II handguard, PRI flip-up sights, Gas Buster charging handle, S/A bolt carrier group and AE Inc. brake and collar. The AEM Inc. brake and collar allow for mounting the Allen Eng. AEM5 suppressor.
