The Steyr SSG08-A1 is a precision, high-performance rifle designed specifically for Austria’s EKO Cobra anti-terrorism unit along with professional applications.
The SSG08-A1 utilizes a cold hammer forged barrel, a folding hard Eloxal-coated aircraft aluminum stock, adjustable rear monopod, adjustable cheek-piece and recoil pad, configurable pistol grip for a truly customized fit for the user. The underside of the stock houses a UIT rail for additional accessories such as a barricade stop. 
The SSG08 is built off the Safe Bolt System action with a 2+1 safety function that offers 3 settings operated by a switch wheel. An additional feature includes a 2-stage magazine securing mechanism that allows the bolt to be operated without feeding rounds, ideal for dry firing or manual loading.
