But this isn’t your granddad’s 1911. It has a number of tactical additions such as an ambidextrous thumb safety, combat hammer, and skeletonized trigger. For easier control, an extended beavertail grip safety lets you get a high and tight grip without worrying about slide or hammer bite when firing. Additionally, this 1911 is chambered in a much more modern caliber than the original military 1911s. The 10mm Auto cartridge packs a lot of punch and this pistol carries 8 rounds of 10mm Auto in the magazine.
