The PTR 9 CT has a steel upper receiver that mates to a polymer lower one. These guns famously use a roller-delayed blowback. This system is heavier, but smoother with a lower recoil than an AR-type gun. n nWhen used as outlined in the owner’s manual, the gun has a break-in period and is quite dependable. However, it’s easy to ignore the owner’s manual and just start shooting, which can lead to unexpected jams. So please resist the temptation to just start shooting and read the owner’s manual. n nThe 5.05 pounds of equipment is encompassed in an overall length of 17.6”. Atop this is a 4.5” long top rail for optical sights or other accessories. But the gun ships with traditional iron sights. Further back is a swivel adaptor sling point. n nThe 9 x 19 mm nitride treated barrel has a 1 to 10” twist and is 8.86” long. On the muzzle end is a ½”x28 TPI thread. As is fairly typical of this type of gun, trigger pull is 9 pounds. Nearby are both a paddle magazine release and a push button one too! n nMost of the barrel sits in a short black aluminum handguard with M-LOK slots at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. n nThe PTR Industries 9 CT comes with a pair of staggered column 30-round magazines. The 9CT model features an M-LOK compatible aluminum handguard. The 8.86″, 3-lug barrel is threaded to 1/2×28 and includes push button and paddle style magazine release. The precision-welded top rail allows addition of your favorite optic or use the traditional iron sights. The polymer end cap with swivel adapter provides a sling attachment point. This gun comes with a hard plastic storage case, a bungee sling, two (2) 30-round magazines, and a rear sight adjustment tool.
